Succumbs in Walum
Walum, N. D., March 28.-(AP)-
E. W. Everson, first president and
founder of the Independent Voters
association, died at his farm home
near here Friday of dropsy. He was
bom in Toten, Norway, in 1857 and
came to America with his father in
1866.
They homesteaded in Griggs county,
in 1880 and since his retirement from
the state legislature in 1917, he had
made his home on the homestead.
He also served in the lower house in
the 1913 and the 1915 sessions.
His widow, seven children, three
brothers and one sister are left.
Funeral arrangements await word
from relatives.
